  • Abstract:

In all forms of on-line communications, so far noticed that no bots can imitate what a human can do. Chatbot is a program that provides an interaction with the chat services to automate tasks for the humans, Chatbot can provide 24X7 service to user. Chatbot acts like routing agent that can be used to classify user's context in conversation. Chatbots are aided with Natural Language Processing (NLP) which is used to examine the request and draw out some keyword information's based on the keywords that the Chatbot provides, thus the Railway reservation bot gives details such as number of seats available each class, source and destination with time. Chatbot also provides word suggestion which can be used to find train name, source and destination name etc.., which aids the user for better conversation..

  • Abstract:

The game of chess has been a testbed for the application of Artificial Intelligence for a long time. It has been a tough task for an engine of any board game to make an optimal move with limited computational power and time constraints. However, there are numerous chess engines that have been developed by combined efforts of the best developers and chess grand masters which were designed by considering various starting books, ending books, game specific techniques and hard coded algorithms to gain strategic advantage over the opponent. Even after all these efforts, humans have defeated chess engines time and again with just a few steps lookahead, while on the other hand the computer is unable to win even after having high computational power and using expensive lookahead algorithms. In this project, we train a neural network to learn a chess board evaluation function which can be used to evaluate the board without deep lookahead search algorithms. From the Shannon number, we can infer that it is not possible to train the model for each possible state. Hence, we need a computational technique which can approximately predict the score of unseen boards based upon training on other board states.

  • Abstract:

The faults in the wires are quite difficult to analyze. The faults in the wire may be due to breakage in the wire, human and animal contact, etc., In an electric power system fault is nothing but any abnormal electric current. RF Transmitters & Receivers have been proposed for the detection of faults in the wire. This technique can detect the faults in the wires. RF Transmitter units are fixed along the length of wire at regular intervals and the RF receiver unit is placed at the remote area. Signal communication occurs between the transmitter and receiver unit. The transmitter units designed to consist of an RF transmitter module that transmits the signal as long as it receives the power. The microcontroller receives the signal through the relay. The transmitter unit which does not transmit the signal indicates the area of fault in the wire. The receiver unit comprising of the RF receiver module receives all the signals from the transmitter units accordingly. If all the transmitter's signals are received, this indicates that there is no fault in the wire. The transmitter units from which the signal is not received indicates the portion or area of the fault in the wire. The decoder circuit connected to the RF receiver passes the signal to the microcontroller which is then displayed on LCD. Hence the fault location can be detected..

  • Abstract:

Spectrum sensing is one of the most important and challenging tasks in cognitive radio. To develop methods of dynamic spectrum access, robust and efficient spectrum sensors are required. In this project , the performance of support vector machine (SVM)-based classifier is applied for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio (CR) networks, is analyzed. A single observation given input to classifier is composed of three statistical features extracted from the primary user (PU) sensing signal and residual energy in percent of the secondary user (SU). The trained classifier predicts PU's presence based on the input signal. The SU starts transmission if PU is predicted absent, otherwise continues sensing other frequency bands. The performance of classifiers is examined in terms of accuracy results. The signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio from PU to SU is varied to investigate effect on classifier's performance. Furthermore, the receiver operating characteristics (ROC) is presented for more evaluation. The simulation results show the efficiency of proposed features with SVM Based classifier for spectrum sensing in CR applications.

  • Abstract:

It is seen that reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings are commonly found constructions in urban India, on which several types of forces are subjected during their lifetime, such as static forces due to dead and live loads and dynamic forces due to the wind and earthquake. It has been confirmed from different studies that unlike static forces, direction and locations of dynamic forces, amplitude, especially the earthquakes, vary significantly with time, which cause considerable inertia effects on the buildings. Under dynamic forces behaviour of buildings depends on the dynamic characteristics of buildings which are controlled by both their stiffness and mass properties of the buildings, whereas the static behaviour is solely dependent upon the stiffness characteristics. Hence buildings performance largely dependents on the deformability and strength of constituent members, additionally, linked to members internal design forces. The internal design forces in turn depend upon the accuracy of the method employed in their analytical determination..

  • Abstract:

The process of translating speech-to-speech denotes the conversion of speech signals specifically from the original source language into a distinctive speech signal-bearing identical meaning or resolve into the target language. To achieve such, there is a need to adopt coordinated cooperation of the separate Human Language Technology components. In particular, the most significant elements in a speech translation system encompass the automatic speech recognition, machine translation as well as text to speech. With this understanding, the current paper explores the design as well as architectural building blocks linked to the "Translator" speech-to-speech translation system. In addition, the current paper explores their interactions with each other to ease speech-to-speech translation in terms of reliability, scalability, and potentially distribution.

Measurements of the Air Quality using a set of inexpensive electrochemical sensors is considered. The sensors measure all pollutants prescribed by US Environmental Protection Agency for calculation of the Air Quality Index (AQI). The sensors are placed at the street level and connected to a central server through the Internet of Things. Alongside pollution measurements, traffic density measurements next to the sensor location are performed as well. A mathematical model that relates traffic density and AQI is developed. The model shows that some gaseous pollutants have a very strong correlation with the traffic density. Overall, AQI and traffic density show significant correlation.

  • Abstract:

The traditional process of forging is often determined based on experiences which require repeated testing and repairing of dies. It also involves long production cycle and high prototype cost. Closed die hot forging process is one of the most adopted methods for forming complex shaped parts with satisfactory geometrical accuracy. Over sixty percent of the forgings are processed through this route. The metal flow analysis of the process is complex due to the involvement of a large number of parameters. A number of experimental testing and production-trials are being done in the industry in order to develop a robust manufacturing process. Such practices however involve huge investments in tooling and raw materials, including a great deal of development time and effort. In recent years, finite element method has emerged as a suitable tool for virtual process trials and simulation based design. The aim of this study is to model and conduct FEA on metal element using SOLIDWORKS and DEFORM-3D software packages. This would lead to an improvement in overall efficiency of the process at a lower cost....

  • Abstract:

As an alternative source of off-grid electric power, solar home systems (SHS) stand out above all other options (e.g., wind, hydro, geo-thermal, tidal systems) because of their wide-scale potential at latitudes less than 45 north or south of the Equator where daily solar irradiance is more constant throughout the year and where the bulk of the Third World‟s population live. The installation of an SHS was found to improve the comfort and living standard of rural dwellers. Easier access to TV, radio, cell phone, and the Internet helped the rural population become part of a more global culture. More attractive down-payment and instalment package options will allow poor target groups to adopt this system. The standard of SHS components and after-sales service should be improved to ensure sustainably and popularity among the mass population for at least 10 years at minimal cost to the consumer.

Graph coloring problem is one of the most popular areas in the field of graph theory and has a long and illustrious history. In a graph coloring, each vertex of the graph is colored in such a manner that no two adjacent vertices have the same color. So far there are several techniques are presented for vertex coloring. In this paper, we propose an algorithm based on the adjacency matrix, to color all the vertices of the given graph with the minimum number of colors and we provide the numerical examples for the proposed algorithm. This algorithm helps us to determine the chromatic number of any graph.

  • Abstract:

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is an efficient multi-carrier modulation technique for wireless communication. However, one of the main drawbacks in OFDM is high PAPR when non-linear power amplifiers are used. The resultant high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) degrades the system performance. The effects include a decrease in the bit error rate (BER), an increase in complexity, or a reduction in the bit rate. The objective of this paper is to describe the PAPR problems in a bid to reduce the peaks in the OFDM signal. In this paper, hybrid techniques for PTS and DCT is used to reduce the PAPR of the OFDM system. Simulations are performed at 64,128,256 and 1024 carriers using MATLAB software.CCDF graphs demonstrate the efficiency of proposed techniques..

High rise building has become need of today's era. High rise building is a structure vertically cantilevered from the ground level subjected to axial loading and lateral forces. Lateral forces generated either due to wind blowing against the building or due to the inertia forces induced by ground shaking which tend to snap the building in shear and push it over in bending. Imparting sufficient strength and stability in counter to the lateral loads is one of the major challenges faced by every designer. Shear walls can be placed around the building as periphery walls, around the lift and beside the staircase. In present study Parameters like Lateral Displacement, Story Drift, Base Shear are observed..

Earlier the required set of shims to be inserted is calculated by trial and error method. Now this is done with the introduction of proximity sensor and programmed processing unit which measures the oversized piston height with reference to the cylinder block. The contactless measuring technique with the help of proximity sensor will give readings with very high accuracy and which completely eliminates the operator involvement. The reading from sensor will be served as an input to the PCB and microcontroller 8051. The required set of shims to be inserted on to the cylinder block is calculated to get exact set.....

Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a flowing concrete mixture that is able to consolidate under its own weight, without the need for vibration. The highly fluid nature of SCC makes it ideal for placing in difficult conditions and in sections with congested reinforcement. Mixture proportions for SCC differ from those of ordinary concrete, in that the former has more powder content and less coarse aggregate. Supplementary cementitiuous materials such as fly ash, silica fume, blast furnace slag and pond ash are normally used to produce SCC. In addition, SCC also incorporates chemical admixtures, such as HRWR (High Range Water Reducer).Large amount of fly ash and pond ash is being generated from thermal power stations in India annually and hence there is a strong need to use this byproduct, in large proportions in concrete which also makes the concrete cost effective. The centripetal force makes every point of the wheel to rotate in clockwise direction and it is always directed towards the backward direction of the wheel, Simultaneously the centrifugal force drags the wheel to the forward direction. The vertical cycloid path of the point is moved by the centripetal force and simultaneously the horizontal straight line path of the same point is covered by the centrifugal force .Like this principle the wheel moves on the road...

The MSW which is formed from the household which are generally scrapped or dumped at a place which is called landfill site. Generally, the waste that is to be disposed shall be segregated and should be given primary treatment before disposal. But the practice is not carried out. When the water which comes in contact with landfill-wastes, the landfill gases (LFG) is formed as an organic part of municipal solid waste which is biodegraded. LFGs emitted consist of CH4, CO2 and are Greenhouse gases (GHGs) which endow in adverse climatic change. In India, conventional methods (clay capping) which are still implemented to decrease water penetration in landfills. Another method for reduction of landfill gases is Extraction systems for collecting gas from landfill. Also, Phytocapping method is application of plants on aged landfill sites and decrease the emission of GHGs and leachate. Moreover, Leachate is the concentrated liquid that is gathered in bottom of landfill which threats degradation of groundwater and natural water body through runoff. This paper focuses on the issues of LFGs and Leachate and methods practiced to capture LFGs to convert to bioenergy thereby mitigate the emission of GHGs and leachate to decrease further degradation of environment..
