Nowadays, providing a security system for houses has become a vital research in which the latest technologies are being adopted to serve this purpose. Wireless network is one of the technologies that have been used to provide remote monitor and control for the home appliances. This paper aims to propose a security door lock system based on Raspberry pi technology where cameras, keypad and pi-lids are being utilized to provide an alarming system that has the ability to notify the owner, as well as, recognizing guests by giving them a user-id. In this vein, the authorized individuals are only the ones who will get the permission to access the doors. The system works by taking snaps for the guest through a code and camera pi positioned in the doors then, such snaps will be sent to the owner. The proposed system can be extended to be used for different properties and facilities such as banks and office..

  • Abstract:

The geothermal gradient of the oil and gas fields can be determined by measuring the geological layers at different temperatures and at different depths of the oil and gas well. If in the vast majority of geological layers the gradient variation is linear and can be described by a first degree equation, in the case of oil and gas deposits, geothermal anomalies appear. These anomalies can lead to the determination of the type of oil exploitation and especially to the presence of the water flood front of the field. The article describes the types of geothermal anomalies discovered in the oil and gas fields and especially ensures the numerical modeling of the response of the geological layers to the electrical and thermal logging....

  • Abstract:

Geopolymers produced by aluminosilicate source materials with an alkaline activator solution promised an excellent properties akin to the existing construction material. Among the various uses of fly ash, its bulk utilization is possible only in geotechnical engineering applications. This necessitates characterization of the fly ash with reference to geotechnical applications. The development of alkali-activated binders seems to present a greener alternative to OPC. The geopolymer mortar is manufactured by replacing cement fully with processed low calcium fly ash which is chemically activated by alkaline solutions like sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide. The geopolymer mortar....

The paper considers the robustrecursivestochasticalgorithm for identification of multivariableHammerstein model with a general static nonlinear block in polynomial form and a linear block described with multivariable ARMAX (Autoregressive Moving Average with Exogenous Variables) model. It is assumed that there is a priori information about the distribution class to which a real disturbancebelongs. Such description of disturbance allows the presence of outliers in observations. Design of recursivealgorithm, in this paper, based on robust statistics and Newton – Raphson method. The Newton – Raphson method requires that the loss function should be twice differentiable. • Abstract:

Recently, a general agreement has come out to support the fact that improved economic conditions for households and individuals generally leads to better health conditions. Due to income inequality in society, some households and individuals cannot afford quality treatment against malaria. We examine how income inequality affects malaria transmission dynamics by dividing the total human population broadly into; low income, middle income, and high-income earners. We then formulated a system of deterministic differential equations based on income inequalities to study malaria transmission dynamics. Impacts of income-inequality are investigated through the incorporation of the Gini index into the model equations. We find that the diseasefree equilibrium point of the model always exists. Using the center manifold theorem, we find a condition under which backward bifurcation will occur in the model. We also find that even without a disease-induced death rate, backward bifurcation may exist. Numerical simulations conducted show that widening income inequality will increase malaria cases and the number of people being hospitalized.

  • Abstract:

In electronic systems, the desired signal is much often than not overshadowed by unwanted signals. Attempt to amplify the wanted signals equally amplifies the unwanted one thereby increasing the ratio. Since signals are distinguished by their frequency characteristics, frequency selective circuits (Filters) can be used in filtering the wanted signals from the unwanted signal. Analog filter comes in different forms with different characteristics and can be active or passive. This paper presents the development and characterization of a second order low pass active filter. The active element used here is the Operational Amplifier OP AMP 741. The Transfer Function (TF) equation is derived and characterized with the Band Width (BW), Cut-off Frequency (Fc) and the Quality Factor (Q) specified and derived. The application of the developed Active Low Pass filter to signal of varied frequencies with fixed input voltage followed with the frequency response plots indicative of the designed specification.

  • Abstract:

There are various computer-based technologies for other crops, but no computer vision-based sophisticated technology for recognizing an areca nut's grade, variety, or illnesses. In this study, a unique approach for categorizing areca nuts into two classes based on color is suggested. There are three phases to the suggested method: (i) Segmentation; (ii) Masking; (iii) Classification, a color space conversion is performed on the RGB picture. For successful areca nut segmentation, three sigma control limits are applied to the picture. The color space of the areca nut is simulated using three sigma control limits, which covers the most important fluctuation of the areca nut's color components. The color components' higher and lower boundaries are employed to efficiently segment the areca nut....
