  • Abstract:

Baffle plates used in power plants as heat exchangers for the process of condensation are huge in size with large volume of holes meant for inserting and supporting the bundles of condenser tubes are transported to the site, where the tubes assembly is carried out.. Incidentally if a hole is undersized, oversized or not drilled, to rectify the same it is extremely difficult to carry out such operations at site as an oversize hole will lead to tube vibrations leading to physical damages to the condenser tubes. This leads to requirement for inspection of drilled holes in large rectangular plate. At present holes are checked by hand gauges, GO / NOGO Gauges, which is manually carried out and also time consuming. This made a way for optical inspection which offers the desirable characteristics of being non-invasive and non destructive, able to analyze real time objects in a remote sense. The present paper describes an automated method using image processing technique, for measurement of the large number of holes and its parameters for reducing the cycle time of inspection and improve the hole parameter measurement process, in tube sheet or baffle plates..

Internet, a collection of large many packets, is expanding day by day. Every minute across the globe, billions of electronic devices, such as PDA, Tablets, mobiles, Personal Computer, laptops, are interconnected via this gigantic networking system called the internet. This interconnection of so many devices across the globe, however, is not without any problems, such as congestion. Congestion is very hot area of research because internet traffic is expanding tremendously with the passage of time because each second, billions of billions of packets may enter the network, which are controlled by buffers. The aim of the paper is to study the behavior of heterogeneous networks to achieve minimized delay through congestion forecast, to control congestion through probabilistic nature of congestion forecast and maximized throughput. All the work will be carried out through Modeler Opnet

  • Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a improved histogram modification based on reversible data hiding technique. In the proposed algorithm, unlike the conventional reversible techniques, a data embedding level is adaptively adjusted for each pixel with a consideration of the human visual system (HVS) characteristics. To this end, an edge and the just noticeable difference (JND) values are estimated for every pixel, and the estimated values are used to determine the embedding level. The pixel level adjustment can effectively reduce the distortion caused by data embedding. The experimental results and performance comparison with other reversible data hiding algorithms are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm..

  • Abstract:

In the present time, Wi-Fi is the most drifting area. As web customers are increasing consistently, there is an enormous load on radio range that leads to congestion. To show signs of improvement in data transfer, capacity and speed, another innovation Li-Fi has progressed. Li-Fi stands for Light Fidelity. It is a bidirectional and remote method for communication utilizing light. It utilizes the unused visible range and decreases the load on radio frequency range. Li-Fi can just be used instead of Wi-Fi with light used as the medium as opposed to radio waves. Here, information is transmitted utilizing light whose frequency differs quicker than human eye to catch. Rather than utilizing modems, Li-Fi utilizes LED bulbs with handset. Information transmission in Li-Fi is around 100 times speedier than Wi-Fi. Here, in this paper we discuss the requirement for Li-Fi. Li-Fi is a type of optical remote innovation that utilizes light as the medium to transmit information in the visible range (Visible Light Communication {VLC}). The Li-Fi with which one can browse new sites in a matter of seconds and which makes it profoundly secure is discussed.

This paper introduces the series capacitor compensation method which considers as a leading technique to improve the power system capability; with the analysis of the location of inserted capacitor, degree of compensation, and simulate a protection scheme for the capacitors. A better power transfer capability of an existing transmission line will have a great effect on the overall system and its stability, in addition to its contribution to the economic and environmental sides. The system was established by Power System Computer Aided Design (PSCAD). Protection of series capacitor compensation model consists of a logically designed voltage relay and circuit breakers that are suitable to the system; responding to overvoltage conditions that may occur across series capacitors. The discussed methodology is based on real life data obtained from National Electric Power Company (NEPCO). Simulation results prove that the series capacitor compensation can reduce losses through the transmission line and achieve a higher power delivered to the load.

  • Abstract:

Liquid propellant rockets are economically more suitable for long range operations. For long range missiles liquid propellant rocket is widely used because of its suitability and performance. But when we consider high range rocket missiles, a liquid propellant rockets are not suitable, because of its size and weight is more compared to solid propellant rocket. Many liquid propellants can exist in liquid state at very low temperature itself. When more number of components present in engine panel, causing of vibration is very high and in the case of liquid propellant rocket engine it is very difficult to provide cooling of thrust chamber. There is no universal well-defined procedure or design method for making a design of liquid propellant rocket engine. Even though we followed some common concepts while making a design of liquid propellant rocket engine, there also some critical problems occur. In order to rectify such a problems we should take almost care on propellant selection and propellant ingredients. In this paper we discuss in detail about complete analysis of liquid propellant rocket engine by theoretical approach. The design and operational performance of a rocket engine is purely depends on the combustion characteristics of a propellant, its burning rate, burning surface, nozzle exit area ratio.

Landfills are the man- made places on land, where the wastes collected are dumped. In today's world landfills are a serious environmental pollution factor because of the emission of toxic gases and groundwater contamination. Major component of a landfill is its liner and to avoid such environmental health hazards, liner material should possess certain standard properties. Hence in this study, an attempt has been made to consider two kinds of mixes, namely, the clay-bentonite mix and the bentonite-quarry dust mix. The properties such as permeability and compressive strength of the mixes were determined..

The research in 60 GHz band is of a special interest to the upcoming fifth generation (5G) communications. That is due to the large unlicensed bandwidth that may be used for cellular type services. This paper provides a comprehensive Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) downlink system level performance evaluation at 60 GHz carrier frequency. An urban outdoor environment is considered for simulation. Different parameters including path loss, Signal to Interference plus Noise ratio (SINR), throughput, spectral efficiency, and number of antenna elements are evaluated. Furthermore, a comparison between the use of linear and rectangular antenna arrays, cosine and isotropic antenna elements are addressed. From the simulation results, one may conclude that beamforming is essential when operating at such a high frequency. Also, the performance of linear antenna array s with cosine antenna elements outperforms other implementations..

  • Abstract:

The objective of this paper is to evaluate the effects of biodiesel blends with kerosene, with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) on a diesel engine, and to compare performance and emission results with that of conventional diesel fuel. In this experimental work, six fuels: biodiesel (B100); diesel (D100); kerosene (K100); biodiesel 20% and kerosene 80% by vol. (B20 K80); biodiesel 50% and kerosene 50% (B50 K50); and biodiesel 80% and kerosene 20% (B80 K20) were investigated with and without EGR system. Biodiesel, produced from canola oil through a transesterification process, was used to examine the performance and emissions of a HATZ 2G40 2-cylinder, air-cooled, direct-injection (DI) diesel engine. All blends were tested at three different engine speeds (1000 rpm, 2100 rpm and 3000 rpm) and at each speed three loads, such as low load (≈20%), medium load (≈50%) and high load (≈80%) were applied............

  • Abstract:

This Paper gives the detailed information about the design and development of automatic weight based rubber cutting machine for rubber industries. At present conventional method used in rubber industries are cut the rubber sheets of the desired length. There are some of the rubber industries requires cutting rubber sheets of equal and desired weight of one piece for that they use human resources to cut rubber piece to its desired weight manuallywhich is time-consuming. The accuracy obtained by the conventional method is also poor. After surveying various industries we conclude that nowadays the industries have introduced automation in their systems to some extent. The automation system solves the labour problems it saves cost, increases accuracy, decreases human errors. By using automation our objectives to achieve low-cost cutting which works fast and reduces cutting time. The practical objective of automatic weight based rubber cutting machine is to cut a rubber of required weight of one piece regardless of its length. This machine is simple, accurate and reduces time so it increases productivity.

This Paper Is Designed To Overcome Problems Related To Over Voltage, Double Phase Interference And Voltage Surges Mainly Due To Sudden Lightning In Homes. Usually In Home Appliances, The Distance Between The Two Contact Poles In Any Electronic Or Electrical Devices Is Very Less, So During Lightning, High Voltage Gets Induced Due To Spark Produced By Lightning. This High Voltage Is Capable Of Crossing The Poles Of The Contact Causing Damages To The Appliances. Even If The Fuses Trips Off During Such Conditions, Arching Takes Place Since A Very High Voltage Gets Induced Into The Power Line. Thus A Solution To Increase The Distance Between The Contact Poles Thereby Reducing The Possibility For High Voltages Crossing The Contact Poles. In Addition, An Automatic Control By A User To Return Back His Home Lost Power.. Nowadays One Ourselves Go And Switch On The Fuse After It Has Been Tripped Off. The Mechanism Also Provides Protection Against Double Phase Interference At Its Root. This Is A Innovated Multi-Protection System That Provides Protection Against Almost All Problems.
