Abstract:
The traditional process of forging is often determined based on experiences which require repeated testing and repairing of dies. It also involves long production cycle and high prototype cost. Closed die hot forging process is one of the most adopted methods for forming complex shaped parts with satisfactory geometrical accuracy. Over sixty percent of the forgings are processed through this route. The metal flow analysis of the process is complex due to the involvement of a large number of parameters. A number of experimental testing and production-trials are being done in the industry in order to develop a robust manufacturing process. Such practices however involve huge investments in tooling and raw materials, including a great deal of development time and effort. In recent years, finite element method has emerged as a suitable tool for virtual process trials and simulation based design. The aim of this study is to model and conduct FEA on metal element using SOLIDWORKS and DEFORM-3D software packages. This would lead to an improvement in overall efficiency of the process at a lower cost....

Abstract:
Biomedical waste also known as infectious waste or medical waste, Wastes generated from hospitals tend to cause the fatal diseases, although understanding the techniques of medical waste management and existing practices is important, the study was therefore undertaken to investigate the medical waste categories and management practices followed by two prominent hospitals i.e Government and Private hospitals situated at mysuru city, India. The daily average waste generated in Government Hospital is 93 kg and the daily average waste generated in Private Hospital is 324 kg. The staffs of various major hospitals who handle these waste lacked the proper training, therefore study was conducted to understand the awareness amongst the employees as regards to biomedical waste management practices to study the knowledge, attitude and practice of the respondent..

Abstract:
In this paper a basic research on using fly ash in low volume Fly ash Concrete (LVFAC) viz. 5,10, 15, 20 percentages and high volume Fly ash Concrete (HVFAC) mixes of high strength and low strength with M20and M30 grade cement concrete was studied. Both these mixes were cured in water. Similar set of cubes were left uncured in ambient condition. All the mixes were studied for compressive strength and weight.

Abstract:
High rise structures have become a regular phenomenon. As the height increases, use of flexible members in the structure makes it earth quake resistant. Moreover, the need of the day is to make the structures blast resistant Decrease in the dead load of the structure by use of prefabricated members makes the structure economical both in terms of time and labor. The aim of this study is to fabricate Glass Fiber Reinforced panels of various thickness to urge the Impact strength so as to suggest a suitable replacement to the regular RCC panels. 60 mm thick glass fibre reinforced panels were found to be equivalent to 100 thick conventional nominal reinforced concrete slab panels..

Abstract:
A non-stationary ECG signal was analyzed using time-frequency distributions to enhance diagnostic efficiency. The time-frequency distributions were formulated using discrete Wigner-Ville distribution with various windowing techniques. Various time-frequency distributions techniques such as discrete pseudo-Wigner-Ville distribution, separable discrete Lag-Independent smoothed Wigner-Ville distribution, separable discrete Doppler-Independent smoothed Wigner-Ville distribution and separable discrete smoothed pseudo-Wigner-Ville distribution were developed to analyze supra-ventricular and malignant ventricular ECG arrhythmia signals. The performance of the time-frequency distributions was evaluated through energy distribution and time-frequency resolution. The discrete pseudo-Wigner-Ville distribution was computed in the time-lag domain, which gave low resolution in the time....

Abstract:
Pure Tin oxide (SnO2) and titanium doped tin oxide nano crystals are synthesized by co-precipitation method. The structural and dielectric properties are characterized by using XRD, SEM and dielectric measurement techniques. XRD analysis shows that pure and Ti doped SnO2 possess tetragonal rutile type structure. The SEM image depicts the surface morphology. The EDAX analysis confirms the elemental composition. Frequency dependence dielectric measurements are observed at 300K. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss decreases with increase in frequency. The ac conductivity is also determined..

Abstract:
As an alternative source of off-grid electric power, solar home systems (SHS) stand out above all other options (e.g., wind, hydro, geo-thermal, tidal systems) because of their wide-scale potential at latitudes less than 45 north or south of the Equator where daily solar irradiance is more constant throughout the year and where the bulk of the Third World‟s population live. The installation of an SHS was found to improve the comfort and living standard of rural dwellers. Easier access to TV, radio, cell phone, and the Internet helped the rural population become part of a more global culture. More attractive down-payment and instalment package options will allow poor target groups to adopt this system. The standard of SHS components and after-sales service should be improved to ensure sustainably and popularity among the mass population for at least 10 years at minimal cost to the consumer.

Abstract:
This paper deals with partial replacement of fine aggregate with steel slag and complete replacement of course aggregate with recycled aggregate. The steel Industry generates enormous amount of solid waste every year. To utilize these waste products is one of the major problems in India causing various environmental hazard. This leads to the wastage of potential sources of steel. However, this can be utilized partially in cement concrete in place of fine aggregate. In addition, natural coarse aggregates are moving towards scarcity because of lack of resources; therefore, their production and shipment has become more difficult. At same time, now a days, there are large number of demolished concrete structure which leads to land pollution and space congestion mainly in urban areas. So, the coarse aggregate...

Abstract:
The electricity demands are increased rapidly with low power losses and low energy costs. To minimize the power loss and achieve load demand with that developing new energy sources based on Renewable energy sources are necessary to think. The controlling and achievement of about goals is difficult in the normal power grid, so smart grid development is increased in the recent few years. While the biggest issues related to SG is security. The vulnerability of SG against cyber-attacks is discussed in this paper. The Bad data injection, False Data injection, and cyber-attacks are the most focusing challenges reviewed in this paper. The PMU state estimation is one promising solution for SG security. So we have shown the SG security analysis for the IEEE 14-bus system using Matlab-Simulink. The simulation results show that PMU provides protection against cyber-physical attacks as well as reliable and secure operation of S.G.

Abstract:
It is important to reinforce the bridge elements in such a way that they can carry sustained load and do not fail suddenly without adequate warning. The Indian Road Congress has drafted the specifications resulting in simplified approach of design of deck slab bridges. To begin with 3m width , deck Slab Bridge was design as per specifications and it is found that following parameter are significant in the analysis and designing of deck slab bridge depth of slab, DLBM, LLBM at mid span. Using the WSM method the whole components are designed and analyzed using Staad.Pro software. According to different width the minimum requirement of steel is calculated
